Dr. Lori Beth Bisbey’s “Dancing the Edge to Reclaiming Your Reality: Essential Life Skills for

Do you remember, Dr. Lori Beth Bisbey, who we had on our lucky 13th episode, and who has had both Chris and me on her “Dr. Lori Beth Bisbey’s Erotic Library” podcast? Well, the wonderful and adorable (Is it sexist to say that she’s adorable as well as smart and nice? Fuck it, who cares?) lady is having a virtual book launch/’drop’/hang event on January 30th, starting at 3 pm EST (it will run until 11 pm eastern that day) for her new “Dancing the Edge to Reclaiming Your Reality: Essential Life Skills for Gaslighting (and Trauma) Survivors.” Of this new book Dr. Lori says, “I am so excited about this new book, and I cannot wait to share it with you. So often, people come to see me thinking they are broken. In 33 years of working with people, the vast majority were not broken. They were missing skills. In this book, I highlight the skills so many people are missing (or just aren’t very good at) and help you to learn them and learn how and when to apply them.”

Once you have registered (and you can do so here), you can drop in when you like and stay as long as you like. Dr. Lori will be doing at least one reading from “Dancing the Edge to Reclaiming Your Reality: Essential Life Skills for Gaslighting (and Trauma) Survivors.” She might even read from her memoir, which was released in May; that memoir prompted her to write this new book. And ‘the good doctor’ also promises games, exercises, and prizes.

And believe me, there’s nobody I’d rather play games with than Lori Bisbey (Is it sexist to say that? Fuck it, who cares?)

Every time I’ve been lucky enough to spend some time with Dr. Lori on Licking Non-Vanilla (which you can find LNV herehere, and here, to name a few places where you can hear our podcast) or stopped by on her show, I have learned so much from her no-nonsense, warm embrace, have had my perspective pricked (and if you can’t prick your perspective what good is life, really?) and engaged in something I think so rare these days…good conversation. Lori really is one of those people you want to keep near and dear, either when you come up against some sexual conundrum (one of her full-time gigs is as a sex therapist), to listen to her gab with a fantastic array of guests, or get all warm and tingling listening to her recite some of her naughty writings.

So, get your ass (and the rest of you) over to Dr. Lori’s January 30th event (again, register here), learn all about her new book, and just spend some time with a genuinely great person; see here. And buy a copy of “Dancing the Edge to Reclaiming Your Reality: Essential Life Skills for Gaslighting (and Trauma) Survivors,” here.
